ATTENTION ALL PROVIDERS!!! NEW ALASKA MEDICAID COVERAGE REGULATIONS EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2010.

Effective February 1, 2010, the new multi-chapter Medicaid coverage and payment regulations (7 AAC 105 - 7 AAC 160) replaced the single-chapter regulations (7 AAC 43), except for the mental health clinic and substance abuse rehabilitation services (coming soon).

The new regulations are temporarily available here - New Medicaid Regulations 105-160, and on the State of Alaska website at http://www.hss.state.ak.us/apps/publicnotice/ Scroll down to "Omnibus Medicaid Coverage and payment Regulations" and to the right, click on "Details." Then, click on "New Medicaid Coverage Regulations 105-160.pdf" under "Documents."

Although no longer in effect as of February 1, 2010, the obsolete Chapter 43 regulations will temporarily remain in the current location, http://www.law.state.ak.us/doclibrary/doclib.html (select "Alaska Administrative Code") for historical reference and to assist you with the transition. In April 2010, the obsolete Chapter 43 regulations will be removed from this location and the new 105-160 regulations will be added.
